On March 31, 2010, BC Hydro furthered their Clean Power Call green energy initiative by awarding four additional Energy Purchase Agreements (EPAs) to renewable energy companies in BC. These four projects will add to the 19 previously awarded renewable energy projects to generate about 3,000 GWh/year - approximately 260,000 homes worth of green energy.

November 25, 2008 - Clean Power Call Draws Proposals from 43 Green Energy Companies
43 renewable energy companies responded to BC Hydro’s Clean Power Call, proposing 68 green energy projects using wind, hydro, biogas, waste heat, and biomass sources.
November 17, 2009 - 31 Renewable Energy Companies Kept on Clean Power Call Shortlist
31 renewable energy companies were part of the first BC Hydro Clean Power Call shortlist, which advanced a total of 47 green energy proposals to the next round. Energy Purchase Agreements (EPAs) were scheduled to be announced starting in December 2009.

After a long wait, BC Hydro awarded the first Clean Power Call Energy Purchase Agreements (EPAs). 10 renewable energy companies representing 19 green energy projects were chosen to advance.
March 31, 2010 - Four More Renewable Energy Companies Awarded EPAs
- AltaGas Ltd. - Crowsnest Pass. The Crowsnest Pass project by AltaGas Ltd., based in Sparwood, will use waste heat to generate 46 GWh of green energy each year.
- ENMAX-Syntaris Bid Corp. - Culliton Creek. Run-of-river energy will generate 56 GWh of green energy per year in ENMAX-Syntaris Bid Corp.’s Culliton Creek project, which is based in Squamish.
- Run of River Power Inc. - Mamquan. Run-of-River Power Inc. will use their their Mamquam run-of-river project in Squamish to provide 68 GWh of renewable energy every year.
- Sea Breeze Energy Inc. - Knob Hill Wind. Joining Finavera Renewables in the wind power field, Sea Breeze Energy Inc. aims to provide 281 GWh of green energy per year from their Knob Hill Wind project in Port Hardy.
